Rob Edwards is the founder of The Edwards Group of Wells Fargo Advisors, which provides wealth planning strategies, backed by process-driven investment portfolios, designed to help high net worth individuals and families simplify their financial lives and bring meaning to their money. While responsible for the overall management and direction of The Edwards Group team, Rob is equally passionate about helping clients get through challenging times. As a Private Investment Management (PIM®) Portfolio Manager he guides the security analysis, portfolio construction, and risk management for The Edwards Group’s portfolio strategies.

Rob began his career in late 2008, during the depths of the Global Financial Crisis, which impressed upon him the most important skills a financial advisor can bring to client relationships, beyond investment expertise: the ability to listen, to empathize, and to make a lasting impact on the people and causes that clients care most about while being ever-mindful of risk. Rob has a particular interest in guiding investor behavior, and the paramount role that it plays in helping to manage the planning complexities of his clients’ financial lives.

Prior to his transition to Wells Fargo Advisors, Rob served as a Senior Investment Associate at Halstatt, a family-owned, Naples, Florida-based investment firm that manages capital across a broad range of asset classes for a select number of family offices and institutional investors. During his time at Halstatt, he was responsible for all publicly traded equity, fixed income, and derivative investments.

Rob is a Naples native and resident, and he and his wife, Kate, are active in the community. They give generously of their time and resources to the David Lawrence Center, the leading mental health provider in Collier County, Naples Botanical Gardens, th Seminole Club of Naples, and the Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens. In 2020, Gulfshore Business recognized Rob as one of its “40 Under 40.” Honorees are chosen based on their professional accomplishments, volunteer work, and other plaudits.

Rob earned an MBA, with a concentration in Investment Management, from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza School of Business, and a BS in Finance from Florida State University. He holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 registrations, and is a member of the Financial Planning Association®.

Rob and Kate also have their hands full raising their two young children, Elle and Graham, and the family’s golden retriever, Nolen.
