Job Title: Donor Services Officer

Reports to: President/CEO           

Position Summary:

The Donor Services Officer is responsible for all aspects of the Foundation’s donor service program.  This position will be responsible for developing deep, sustained relationships with donors and their families to make The Community Foundation donors’ primary philanthropic partner. This entails providing excellent, timely and integrated service.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Act as personal contact and liaison for assigned portfolio of donors to handle all of their requests, as well as conduct pro-active outreach to them.
  2. Develop, manage and implement the Foundation’s donor services program coordinating with Development, Grantmaking, Finance, Communications and other members of the staff.
  3. Assist in devising and implementing strategies to increase engagement of donors and to assure complete donor satisfaction.
  4. Plan and coordinate events and educational programs and opportunities that expose donors to information about community needs and other topics related to charitable giving.
  5. Conduct orientation for new fundholders and training on our donor portal
  6. Provide ongoing support necessary to create and distribute donor communications and marketing materials.
  7. Provide 15 or more meaningful contacts with donors monthly
  8. Work with fund holders to capture estate plans for CCF
  9. Research areas of interest for donor advised grantmaking, tracking donor advised grantmaking and producing reports as necessary.
  10. Oversee content of donor engagement section of the website.
  11. Serve as liaison to other departments as related to assigned donors.
  12. Assist with special projects as requested by the President/CEO
  13. Handle clerical needs and database management related to the above activities.
  14. Research funding opportunities for donors and families
  15. Expand our family philanthropy program
  16. Other duties as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Exceptional Customer Service Skills
  • Planned Giving Knowledge
  • Experience in the nonprofit or financial services with special emphasis on account management and customer relations
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communications skills
  • Excellent management and organizational skills
  •  Self-motivated, detail and results-oriented
  •  Computer proficiency is a must

Work Conditions:

Work is performed largely in Collier County.  Meetings are held county and statewide.

Some travel to other states for conferences.
