What is a Community FoundationC.F.Collier2022-05-24T16:29:29-04:00
A Charity Dedicated to Improving Lives
A community foundation is a grant-making public charity that pools donations to fund the work of local nonprofits and support positive change in the community.
A SUPPORTER OF LOCAL, WORTHY GOALS
We achieve our goals through coordinated investment and the distribution of grants and scholarships.
A CHANGE AGENT FOR GOOD
Like your local community foundation here in Collier County, these foundations also serve as civic leaders on the forefront of conversations to improve and enhance the quality of life in their communities.
A RESOURCE TO DONORS
Whether you would like to give locally, nationally or internationally, our dedicated team will vet nonprofits and assess giving opportunities through our vast network to help you make the most impact.
One Common Goal
All community foundations share a common goal of serving donors, nonprofit organizations and the community.
According to the Council on Foundations, a professional organization for community foundation philanthropy, there are more than 750 community foundations across the nation — 300 of them members of the council. The Community Foundation™ is an accredited member of the council.
In the wake of Hurricane Ian and its devastating impact on our area, CCF has reactivated the Collier Comes Together Hurricane Fund to benefit SWFL nonprofit relief efforts and programs to get funds where they are needed most – quickly and efficiently at no administrative cost. Click below to donate.
